Serial Killer Arrested
20 Aug 2001
A serial killer has been arrested in Reno, Nevada.

Adam Ezerski was wanted by the FBI in connection with the deaths of two gay men, Anthony Martilotto and Irving Sicherer, in Florida.

Ezerski surrendered to FBI agents on the eve of the city’s Pride celebration. He was arrested in his hotel room and will be extradited to Florida where he will face a charge of first-degree murder.

Ezerski was with Troy Young when he was arrested. Young, of San Francisco, was found to be violating a parole requirement. The two had driven a rented truck from Reno to San Francisco, where another vehicle belonging to Martilotto had been found.

Whilst in San Francisco Ezerski is alleged to have attacked a local man after befriending him and staying at his home. Kevin Begoon said that he awoke to find Ezerski hitting him with a plaster statue. He said Ezerski tried to strangle him before fleeing.

Daron W. Borst, an FBI special agent, said that he did not know if Ezerski is gay. His brother, Aaron Smith, had told the local press that he is not gay but homophobic.
